Journalism and Women Symposium elects 28th board at annual conference
The Journalism and Women Symposium (JAWS) elected seven members to board positions at the organization’s annual Conference and Mentoring Project (CAMP) in September.
Katherine Rowlands, an editor with the Bay Area News Group in California, was elected president. She takes the reins of the 27-year-old national organization at a time when JAWS is seeking to expand its reach through enhanced programming and increased membership.
Gwyneth Doland, a producer and reporter for KNME-TV in Albuquerque, is taking over as the new vice president. JAWS members also elected four new board members to two-year terms along with a new treasurer and deputy vice president.
